How the Crawler Works
Let’s say the crawler starts at your site’s homepage. It collects every link on the page and then navigates through each link doing the same: looking for, and collecting, new links. After collecting every unique link on your site, the crawler loads every single one and collects data about each link.
How to Use the Crawler
To use the crawler, simply enter the URL of the website you want to analyze and press enter. The crawler will begin its process and provide you with the results once completed. Depending on the size of your site this process can take minutes. You can leave the crawler running in the background if you’d like.
Understanding the Results
The results provide a summary of the crawling process, including the percentage of links that were successfully navigated and the percentage of links that failed. Additionally, you have the option to receive access to the result’s dashboard for a more detailed analysis.
Report Limitations
During this phase, all reports are completely free, and limited at 1000 links. At this time, you cannot run a report on a cadence or recurring basis.
